Make Your Summer Sizzle

Fire up the grill and call up the neighbors, it’s barbecue season! We asked our resident grill-master, Chef Normajean, to pass on some of her hottest bbq tips. Give these a try and take your backyard cooking to a whole new level. And, be sure to TELL US below the dishes that make your summer bbq a smashing hit!

Grilled veggies

Grilling brings out flavors you can’t accomplish any other way, especially in vegetables. For a sure-fire hit, snip a few fresh herbs and stir them into a dollop of Country Crock to create a compound buttery spread. Then toss it into a foil pack with your favorite veggies and grill for 10-12 minutes or until fork-tender. You’ll have a savory side of vegetable goodness—and ultra-easy clean-up!

Instant marinade

No time to marinate? No worries. Just top your grilled steak or chicken with a spoonful of buttery basil spread (fresh basil mixed into a cup of Country Crock), throw it on the grill and the succulent results will be the talk of the town.

Sauté a side

Whip up the perfect complement to your burgers and kabobs with a three-ingredient masterpiece. Simply throw a handful of green beans or cubed summer squash in a skillet with a scoop of Country Crock and some minced garlic and sauté on the stovetop for 10-12 minutes or until fork-tender. Be sure to stir frequently. Simple. Fast. And absolutely delicious!
